Philip Parmar

Founder · Educator · Advocate

Prometheus Minds was founded with a mission to unlock the potential of every learner — especially those who think differently.

At the heart of our company is Philip Parmar, an experienced educator, former school administrator, and passionate advocate for students with learning differences. With over a decade of experience working in schools, Philip has led teams, overseen special education compliance, and worked closely with students, families, and teachers to ensure that every child receives the support they need to thrive.

Prometheus Minds was born from this deep well of experience, and from the belief that neurodiverse students deserve tailored, research-based instruction that honors their unique strengths. Through 1:1 in-home or community-based tutoring, we provide high-quality, compassionate support that helps students not just catch up, but excel.

Our Research-Based Approach

Proven Methods, Measurable Growth

We use proven methods that support students with ADHD, dyslexia, and executive functioning challenges.

Executive Function Coaching

We teach goal-setting, time management, and self-monitoring strategies based on the work of Dawson & Guare.

ADHD Supports

Lessons are broken into smaller steps with movement breaks and positive reinforcement to sustain focus and motivation.

Dyslexia Interventions

We use a structured, multisensory approach inspired by Orton-Gillingham, with targeted phonics and fluency practice.

Strength-Based Teaching

We build confidence by identifying each student’s unique strengths and learning style.

How We Work

A Four-Step Process for Every Student

We follow a consistent process to ensure each student gets the support they need to succeed.

01

Step 01

Assessment

We begin with a comprehensive academic and executive functioning assessment to understand your child’s unique strengths, challenges, and learning style.

02

Step 02

Personalized Support

Based on the assessment, we create a customized learning plan using research-based strategies tailored to your child’s needs — whether it’s improving reading skills, building focus, or developing better study habits.

03

Step 03

Ongoing Monitoring

We track your child’s progress every step of the way with regular check-ins, skill tracking, and parent updates to ensure meaningful growth.

04

Step 04

Adjusting the Plan

No two learners are the same. We continuously adjust our approach to match your child’s evolving needs — celebrating progress and addressing new challenges as they arise.
